We recommend this garlic ginger glazed salmon as a healthy recipe due to its high omega 3 content as well as the health benefits provided by incorporating ginger and garlic into your dish . This recipe is an excellent choice for dinner tonight. Try starting with a small garden salad as your appetizer!
You could bake the salmon by drizzling the sauce over it before sending it in the oven, or you can cook it in the skillet and pour the thickened glaze on top as you serve it . Either way, this glaze gives the salmon a very nice Asian flare, with just a hint of ginger and garlic in it, we loved it!
Garlic Ginger Glazed Salmon
Ingredients:
1 lb salmon, skinned, de-boned
Garlic Ginger Glaze
1 Tbsp sesame oil (optional)
3 Tbsp honey
4 Tbsp soy sauce
4 Tbsp rice vinegar
3-4 cloves garlic, pressed
1/2 inch cube ginger, grated
- Combine all liquid ingredients in a sauce pan, add grated ginger and pressed garlic. Stir, bring to a boil on medium-high heat and allow to simmer until the glaze is reduced and thickened, about 10-15 minuted.
- Meanwhile sprinkle the fish with cracked black pepper on both sides. Heat the skillet with 1 tablespoon oil over high heat, add the salmon and cook until golden on both sides, covering with lid in between.
- Transfer the salmon fillet to a serving dish and drizzle the sauce over top. Eat hot, right away.
- Serve with rice or rice noodles as a side dish.
