So many pre-made dressings contain sugar and other harmful additives. Since we recommend eating a salad every day while on detox, here are some recipes to spice them up and add in some of the key ingredients for liver cleansing.
1. Avocado Dressing
1 can coconut milk (for less creamy mix use 1/2 milk, 1/2 water)
1 Tbsp. MCT oil
3 avocados, ripe, pitted and removed from shell
2 Tbsp. lime juice
1/2 c. cilantro, chopped fine
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/8 tsp. ground pepper
Add 1/2 tsp. LCM Three Amigos Seasoning for an extra zip!
2. Peanut Cilantro Dressing
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
2 bunches cilantro leaves, finely chopped
1/2 C. fresh lime juice
1 1/2 tsp. wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
1 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. creamy organic peanut butter
3/4 C. extra virgin olive oil (or MCT oil)
In a magic bullet or food processor, finely mince garlic cloves and ginger. Add cilantro leaves and process until finely chopped. Add remaining ingredients and blend until well mixed. Mix salad ingredients together with cilantro dressing and serve immediately.
3. Liver Loving Vinaigrette Dressing
1 c. MCT oil
1 c. apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. basil
1 Tbsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. mustard powder
Put all ingredients in a jar and shake vigorously.
5. Citrus Dressing
Juice from 1 fresh orange
Juice from 1/2 fresh lemon
1 tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
Sea Salt & Pepper to taste
Stevia, optional
Mix and drizzle over salad or vegetables.
6. Lemon Dill Salad Dressing
1 c. lemon juice
1 c. MCT oil
2 Tbsp. dill weed
1 tsp. sea salt
½ tsp. mustard powder
½ tsp. turmeric
1 Tbsp. onion powder
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. tarragon
Put all ingredients in a jar and shake vigorously. Use 1 TBSP per serving. Keep refrigerated and use for salad dressings, dipping sauces, and marinades.
7. Lemon Dressing
¼ c. apple cider vinegar
1 c. water
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
25 drops clear stevia
1/4 tsp. LCM Lemon Pepper
1 packet stevia
Combine ingredients, pour into jar and refrigerate. Shake well before using.
8. Herb Vinaigrette
1 c. extra virgin olive oil
1⁄2 c. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried thyme
3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
Juice of 1/2 fresh lemon
1 tsp. LCM vinaigrette
liquid stevia extract to taste
Combine all ingredients in a glass jar. Cover the jar, close tightly, and vigorously shake the jar to blend all of the ingredients. Refrigerate.
9. Orange Vinaigrette Dressing
Fresh squeezed orange juice
1T Apple Cider Vinegar
1T lemon juice
Stevia to taste
Sea salt & Pepper to taste
Mix and drizzle over salad or vegetables.
10. Ranch Dressing
1 Tbsp. non-dairy milk
1/2 Tbsp. MCT oil
Dash of sea salt and pepper
1 tsp. LCM Heavenly Ranch
1/2 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
1 packet or 3-4 drops of Stevia
1 tsp. lemon juice
Blend and enjoy!
