7-Keto DHEA is a supplement used for losing weight and improving the immune system. It is one of the three oxygenated metabolites that make up Dehydroepiandrosterone. Also known as 7-oxodehydroepiandrosterone, it is popularly known by its brand name, which is 7-keto.

It is seen that 7-keto, being a natural metabolite of DHEA, declines with age in a way that is directly proportional to the parent hormone. The levels rise until the age of 20, and there is a decline in the blood concentration level by the age of 30. By the age of 50, there is almost a 50% reduction in the blood concentration level.

A study evaluated the effect of 7-keto on heart disease. A small dose of 25 mg per day for five days managed to increase the level of good cholesterol.
