WAIST SHAPERS AND BODY WRAPS
Wearing a waist shaper (also known as a faja), or shaping garments, has been a tradition in many cultures for years, and is one reason for the we love this type of body shaping as part of a BalanceD lifestyle for several reasons:
•Immediately tighten 6 - 12 inches or more
• Improves posture
• Helps to limit large portions
• Helps work in conjunction with slimming products and weight loss regimen
• “Size Down” every 60-90 days to continue the benefits
• Popular for men and women
There are 2 types of Waist Shapers in our Body collection:
Which waist shaper is right for me?
The breathable waist shaper
is popular for people are planning to wear this garment at work or to events. It is designed to be slimmer in shape and allow for air to pass (minimize sweating)
The thermal waist shaper
will use heat (and combine with our slimming, toning, or cellulite accelerator lotions) to improve circulation, sweating, and size reduction in the midsection. It is designed to be work while exercising or throughout the day, and is also quite comfortable. It can be work underneath or on top of clothing, based upon your preference.
these thermal fajas
(above) work with body heat to encourage improved circulation, and sweating (during exercise) to enhance slimming effects. May be combined with a slimming gel to enhance results.
breathable waist shapers
can be worn at the office, during work, or at night when you desire the benefits of a waist shaper (can comfortably cinch waist by up to 15 inches or more), but when sweating is not an option. Breathable fajas are made from a lighter weight material with more of a mesh design to allow breathability.
Our body wear is designed in Colombia, the global leader in body shaping garments and fabrics, and assembled in the US with high quality materials and construction. The design of our garments are more comfortable and more effective (especially in the front area with our proprietary design and cut) than lower priced garments.
FAQ on Waist Shapers:
How do they work?
Very simply. A waist shaper is simply a belt-type garment which is work by both men and women (either under or over clothing). They are about 11" in height (depending on brand and model) and close with velcro to make your waist appear inches tighter (up to 20 inches or more, depending on your body). There is another velcro belt which is used to further tighten the waist shaper to your preferred tightness.
They are designed to be work a few hours each day, and may be work at home, walking around, working out, or anytime you prefer. We do not recommend wearing during sleep or when lying down. Always use common sense to not over tighten your waist trainer, they are designed to help improve and tighten your midsection over time. With continued use, you will see your waist tighten, and it is common to "size down" (purchase a smaller size wrap) every 4-5 months to continue to enhance your results.
Can it really produce instant results?
regardless of your size, a waist shaper can deliver instant visible results
Waist Shapers do produce immediate visible results, which is part of their popularity. They can immediately boost self esteem, posture, and confidence. Over continued time, and especially when combined with a weight management program, will produce visible and sometimes dramatic results.
Is this like the Kardashians use?
On many popular television shows, corsets or other types of constraining garments requiring metal hooks are used, and incorrectly referred to as “waist trainers.” This class of garment is much more constrictive and considerably less comfortable than fajas, and could not be worn while exercising, which will limit its positive long term slimming effects.
We do not have enough information on this type of garment to offer an opinion, however it is not a part of our BalanceD system or programs.
I heard waist training can be dangerous?
There are many garments which are referred to as “waist trainers,” some of which incorrectly classified. A faja is simply a garment worn to tighten the midsection by a few inches to offer immediate and constant improvement over time. We cannot speak for other companies products, or corset-type garments. Our body wraps and fajas have been used for over 50+ years and are fabricated in Colombia, a country known for the highest quality and most cutting edge body shaping materials, fabrics, research, and production technology.
While we do not recommend wearing any compression garment for more than 8 hours a day, and not more than 3-4 hours at a time (depending on your preference), these garments are safe and overall have positive effects on posture and health. It is best to wear for one hour initially, and then increase increments as you see fit.
As with any product, consult a physician if you have any doubts about your health, are think you may be pregnant, prior to using the garment. If you are elderly, with a chronic condition, or may be at risk for one, consult a physician. This product is not intended to cure or treat any disease. Use this and any body wear product with common sense and caution.
